JULY 2, 2021, KEIZERTIMES, PAGE A3 Naked man enters apt., arrested wandering complex A naked man was arrested wandering the property of Lakepoint Apartments on Saturday, June 26, it is believed the same man had entered one of the apart- ments of the complex hours earlier. Keizer Police Department offi - cers fi rst responded to Lakepoint Apartments, 208 Lakepoint Place N., about 5:30 a.m. A 9-1-1 caller reported that a naked man had entered their bedroom. Prior to police arrival, the man left the apartment and was not located at the time. At approximately 9:15 a.m., police responded back to the apartment com- plex based on a report of a naked man wandering the property. The man was arrested on burglary and harassment charges and then taken to the Marion County Correctional Facility where he was released to intake staff . The man was identifi ed as 56-year- old David Charles Long and as the sus- pect from the original call. The Keizer Police Department encourages residents to routinely check and re-check the security of their homes. Rollover crash kills one, sends four to hospital A single-vehicle, rollover crash on Wheatland Road North resulted in the death of the driver and hospitalization of four passengers Sunday, June 27. Marion County Sheriff ’s Offi ce deputies were called to the scene about 7 p.m. near the intersection of Wheatland and Matheny Road Northeast. The vehicle was travel- ing south on Wheatland Road and made a sharp turn while rounding a curve. The adult driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle and later pronounced dead at the scene. A second adult passenger was fl own to an area hospital by helicopter. Another adult and two juvenile passengers were taken to local hospitals with minor injuries, Names are not being released until next of kin are notifi ed. The roadway was closed for several hours. The Marion County Sheriff ’s Offi ce was being assisted by the Keizer Police Department, Marion County Fire Department, Woodburn Fire Department, Marion County Public Works and Life Flight. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ “ This community is beautiful and the whole staff is so attentive and caring!
